I love getting to shoot my little munchkins. They are probably the most photographed members of our family. Between me chasing them around with a camera for portraits and everyone capturing their silliness on their phones, I'd say they have had their pictures taken more than anyone in our family.
They were all about being goofs today as you can tell from these pictures. Might have been from their mom standing behind me shaking her booty at them. Jess and Alan's wedding was one for the books. Jess and I met each other while attending photography school and are business partners with our company Snapbox Photo Booths. I was beyond excited when Jess asked me to shoot her wedding and thrilled when I learned it was going to be in Punta Cana. Lets just say I am now a fan of destination weddings during the winter at all inclusive resorts.
Jess did an amazing job on the details of everything. From the ring box to her bridesmaids gifts(made by her godmother!) to the welcome gift bags with the ferris biscuits for all 63 of her guests to the handmade bouquets. The wedding took place on Friday and on Sunday I shot Alan and Jess's portraits. This way we could take our time and they could enjoy their cocktail hour. Nothing makes you realize that you are technically an adult then your brother who is seven years younger than you graduating high school. Nash, our family robot, still hasn't decided on where he is going to college but its been narrowed down to three so far. UT Austin, LSU and Ohio State. I wouldn't mind him picking either UT or LSU. I love visiting Austin and LSU isn't too far from New Orleans. I don't care for the snow so I'm hoping he doesn't pick Ohio State. =) I can't wait to see what amazing things he will do in the future.
Back at it again with The Hunt's. I can't believe how big Maxton is and Brayden is practically a giant now. Well ok he might still have some more growing to do, but I've known him since he was a baby. I'm stating to believe Maxton is not a fan of me with a camera but Matt is great at getting the best laughs out of him. Maybe for the next family portrait I'll record Matt for everyones enjoyment....
When you have known the bride since the age of 6 and the groom since 5th grade, you say yes when they ask you to shoot their wedding. It's not like I would have said no anyways. Their wedding brought me back to my childhood and old hometown, Trophy Club, TX. The day started at Solana Marriott, a hotel visiting family would always stay at. I remember them having the best breakfast as a kid. After the girls were ready to go, we headed off to St. Francis in Grapevine, Texas where the ceremony was held.
Before I move from Austin, I did a few portraits of my roommate Mona so she could update her linked profile. Some of the perks of having a photographer roommate. =)
Today I spent the day with my best friend Kirstin to shoot her bridals. We spent the day in downtown Grapevine scouting locations for her wedding day and snapping a few(or a hundred) shots of her in her dress as well. Can't wait for her wedding day!
Did a lot of driving this past week. Went up to Maine and New Hampshire for Jess's bridal shower and then swung through Georgia on my way back to Texas. I stopped in Roswell, GA to see Jess & Alan's new house and take a few engagement photos for them. I can't wait for their wedding this December in Punta Cana! Enjoy!
Liz & David's wedding was simple but very sweet. There were less than 20 guests and the ceremony was held at Davids Dads house. Their rings were gorgeous! I love David's ring, i've never seen one like it before. Thanks Liz & David for letting me apart of your day!
